1. Who we are
Fire PDF is a product of SiriusXAi. For privacy questions or requests, contact contactfirepdf@siriusxai.com.
2. Documents and local processing
PDFs opened for reading, editing, OCR and conversion are processed on your device. These tools do not upload your PDFs to Fire PDF. Initial app resources and OCR language packs may need an internet download. A cached model does not guarantee that every feature of the web app works offline.
Translation, when supported, uses your browser’s on-device translation API and downloadable language resources. Browser vendors manage their own services and privacy policies.
3. Web page to PDF is different
Cloud conversion sends the web address and processes page content through Cloudflare Browser Run to return a PDF. Use it only for content you are authorised to access. The optional Local Capture companion instead opens the address in Chrome or Edge, prints it in memory and passes the PDF to your Fire PDF web tab. In local mode the conversion URL and PDF are not sent to our conversion server. The destination website receives your browser’s normal request and may use its cookies or signed-in session. Internet is needed to fetch web pages.
4. Storage on your device
Depending on the tools you use, browser storage can hold preferences, downloaded resources, saved signatures and stamps, form profiles, local document recovery copies and a random visitor identifier. Saved signatures and form profiles are local to that browser profile. Do not save sensitive information on a shared computer. Clearing browser site data removes locally stored items; preserve anything you need first.
The desktop app keeps license information and trial records on your computer. License keys may contain the purchaser’s name or email address and should be kept private.
Applied document edits are automatically checkpointed locally for recovery, with up to four versions per document, twelve versions overall and an 80 MB total budget. Recovery includes document content and placed items. Use Recovery in the editor to restore or delete copies, or turn automatic recovery off. Recovery is not a backup service; browser storage may be cleared or evicted.
5. Usage measurement and hosting
Our web usage measurement sends a random browser visitor ID, session ID, event type, page path and timestamp to pulse.siriusxai.com. Usage systems may also process app version, edition and country code. These events do not include PDF contents or filenames, OCR text, search text, license keys or your name or email.
In the web editor, Help → Fire PDF usage analytics lets you turn off browser-ID pageviews and heartbeats. Turning it off removes the stored visitor ID and stops future custom usage events in this browser, including other open tabs; it does not delete past events. Cloudflare hosts the site and may separately process IP addresses, request and security logs, and performance information. Its policies also apply to its processing.
6. Feedback and support
Feedback submits the message and category you choose to send, with app version and page path. No account, name or email is required by the feedback form. Messages may be forwarded to our support inbox. If you include personal information in the message, we receive that information too. Emails to support include your email address and the content you send; avoid sharing private documents unless necessary and agreed.
7. Purchases
If you purchase a desktop license, the payment provider collects the checkout information it requests, such as billing contact details and payment information, under its own privacy policy. We may receive order references, purchase status, billing contact information and information needed to issue or support your license. We do not ask you to send card numbers by email. For new purchases, see Dodo Payments’ Privacy Policy ↗. The desktop app sends the license key, activation instance and a pseudonymous device label to Dodo for license activation and verification. PDF contents are not sent for this purpose.
8. Retention, requests and changes
Local items remain until removed through the app, site-data controls or operating system. Support, usage and purchase records are used to operate, secure and improve Fire PDF, resolve requests, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold, or to raise a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction obligations. Browser-only document content cannot be retrieved from our servers because these tools do not send it there.
We use service providers for hosting, usage processing, email and payments; processing may occur in other countries. We will show material policy updates here with a new date. This policy does not limit rights granted by applicable privacy law.
Daily web allowance
The web app stores a local calendar date and number of successful Pro operations in your browser. No login is required and this counter is not sent to our server. Clearing browser storage can reset the allowance.
