FREE · LOCAL WEB PAGE CAPTURE

Print web pages in your own browser

Local Capture opens the address you enter in a background Chrome or Edge tab, prints it to PDF in memory, and returns it to Fire PDF Web. Your PDF is not saved to a temporary folder. If you leave without downloading, the in-memory copy disappears.

Download Local Capture companion

  1. Extract the ZIP to a folder you plan to keep.
  2. Open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode and choose Load unpacked. Select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Reload Fire PDF Web, open File → Web page to PDF, paste a URL, and choose Convert in my browser.

Chrome or Edge will show a debugger permission warning because the companion uses the browser's PDF-printing command. It attaches only to the tab it opens for your requested capture and detaches when printing finishes. A website may still refuse printing, or require you to sign in first. On failure, the background tab closes and Fire PDF shows an error; use Open page for manual printing.

The companion has no cloud service, account, subscription, or conversion quota. Its source files are inside the ZIP so you can inspect them before installing. Remove it from the browser's Extensions page at any time.
